This group was formed by popular vote at the Second International Conference on Soil Solarization and Integrated Management of Soilborne Pests, held at ICARDA, Aleppo, Syria, in March 1997. The objective of the workgroup is to foster communication among researchers and educators around the world who are working on soil solarization as an alternative to chemical soil fumigation of agricultural pests and on development of integrated management strategies for soilborne pests. The workgoup is open to all interested parties. This website serves as a means of information exchange among participants and other interested parties. It is intended to be a dynamic document which is responsive to new developments and other changes. Therefore, your comments and suggestions are always welcomed. The advisory committee hopes you will find the website to be useful and informative. |
